Research Assistant for the Macao Centre for Testing of Chinese Medicine

Research Staff

The Macao Centre for Testing of Chinese Medicine was established in 2022. The Centre aims to develop Macao testing, realize Macao certification, and support the industrialization and internationalization of Chinese medicine in Macao. As of October 2024, nearly 120 test parameters of the Centre have been accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), and the scope of accreditation covers the physical, chemical and microbiological test methods in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.

The Macao Centre for Testing of Chinese Medicine (MCTCM) of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) is now recruiting research personnel with testing experience in Chinese Medicine in at least one of the following directions: (1) Chinese Medicine (2) Pharmaceutical Science (3) Analytical Chemistry (4) Food analysis, and related disciplines.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree or above in above mentioned fields;
2. Minimum 1 year working experiences in testing of Chinese Medicine or drugs;
3. ISO17025 training/ certification; operating and data processing experience of LC/LC-MS/GC/GC-MS/UV/ICP-MS will be an advantage.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and mutual agreement.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty as soon as possible.

Remuneration
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
