The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social Sciences is hiring two professorial positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank. One position is in clinical psychology and the other is open to all areas of psychology. Both positions require strong track records in research and publications. The Department of Psychology is one of the most research active departments in UM. It is ranked 8th in Asia and 97th in the world by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2020. Qualifications
For the clinical position, applicants must have a PhD degree in clinical psychology or closely related disciplines. Experience in teaching psychotherapy and assessment courses of a clinical program is preferred. Clinical licensing or registration and Chinese language proficiency are preferred but are not required. The other position requires a PhD degree in any sub-disciplines of psychology. Applicants for both positions must be active researchers with productive publication records.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2024.

Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
