Research Staff

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) ( is dedicated to nurturing exceptional scholars in the humanities, fostering innovation and excellence in research and knowledge exchange, and generating high-quality academic publications. We are committed to promoting knowledge transfer and providing service to communities and the international academic community for the betterment of society. FAH is currently seeking research personnel in the following areas of Arts and Humanities: Arts and Design, Chinese, English, History, Japanese, Portuguese, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Translation Studies.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.


  • Visiting Fellow:
    Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in relevant areas, along with a strong research publication record and notable achievements.
  • Research Assistant Professor (RAP):
    Candidates must have a doctoral degree in relevant areas, with a proven track record of research publications and achievements. Post-doctoral research experience is highly desirable.
  • Postdoctoral Fellow:
    Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in relevant areas, with a substantial record of publications and relevant experience.
  • Research Assistant:
    Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant areas, with a robust background in scientific training.


Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
