The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) as one of the independent academic units in UM, aims to provide high-quality continuous and lifelong education for individuals, institutions, enterprises and working professionals. To cope with the development of CCE, CCE invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will assist in research projects, programmes and activities related to continuing education, such as data collection and analysis. Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
Qualifications
1. A bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or related field is preferred;
2. Relevant working experience in continuing education would be an advantage;
3. Strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, proactive, and detail-oriented;
4. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment;
5. Good command of both Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English are required.
Shift duty in evenings and weekends may be required.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty around January 2024.
Remuneration
Remuneration offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Basic medical benefits are available at a low cost.
