The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) (http://fhs.um.edu.mo/) aims at providing excellent education programmes, performing outstanding research and delivering dedicated services to the community. With the research contribution from FHS since its debut in 2013, UM has achieved a record high between No. 126 and No. 150 in the THE World University Rankings for Life Sciences in recent years. To cope with the latest development, FHS is now recruiting research personnel with extensive research experience in at least one of the ten strategic research directions of FHS, and the ten research directions are: (1) Precision Oncology, (2) Stem Cell and Development, (3) Aging, Neural and Metabolism Disorders and Infectious Diseases, (4) Biomedical Imaging, (5) Data Science, (6) Drug Development, (7) Neuropsychiatry, (8) Structural Biology, (9) Translational Medicine, and (10) Public Health.
Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
Qualifications
- Postdoctoral Fellows:
A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or biomedical studies; a solid record of publication and scientific training. - Research Assistants:
A bachelor’s degree or above in related biological, health and/or biomedical studies is preferred; a solid record of scientific training.
Remuneration
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
