Senior Administrative Officer/Administrative Officer for Student Counseling

The Student Affairs Office (SAO) of the University of Macau invites applications for the position of Senior Administrative Officer/Administrative Officer at a taxable monthly salary ranging from MOP41,360 to MOP64,860 (index 440 – 690).
  1. Create and foster a healthy and vibrant residential community for postgraduate students;
  2. Provide psychological counseling and pastoral care to students;
  3. Deliver activities that enhance students’ wellness and development, such as mental health education, self-awareness, interpersonal relationship, etc.;
  4. Collaborate with other units to handle student critical incidents and emergencies;
  5. Offer on-call emergency response and be available after office hours to handle student cases;
  6. Provide other support as required.
  1. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related disciplines. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are advantages;
  2. 8 years or 6 years of full-time work experience in counseling, psychotherapy, and social work for Senior Administrative Officer and Administrative Officer respectively. Experience in higher education is an advantage;
  3. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
  4. Readiness for on-call emergency response, able to commute to Hengqin frequently and fulfill assigned duties.
