Administrative Staff
The Rector’s Office (RTO) of the University of Macau invites applications for the position of Senior Administrative Officer/Administrative Officer at a taxable monthly salary ranging from MOP41,360 to MOP64,860 (index 440 – 690). This position will assist in the establishment of a medical school at the new Hengqin campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the programme planning committee and participate in the preparatory and planning activities for the establishment of the medical school;
- Assist in drafting and updating curriculum documents, including course outlines and syllabi;
- Coordinate with faculty members, overseas partners, and other stakeholders to gather input on curriculum development and guide the discussions;
- Conduct research and gather data to inform curriculum development decisions;
- Assist in planning, allocating, implementing and controlling tasks and actions, within the approved resources;
- Draft correspondences, proposals, reports and other written materials related to the establishment of the medical school to UM management and government entities;
- Assist in generating statistics for compiling reports and work plans;
- Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in medicine, pharmacy, public health or related disciplines; other majors with a strong focus on medical education or curriculum development will also be considered;
- At least 7 years and 5 years of relevant experience preferably in a higher education institution or a medical education setting for Senior Administrative Officer and Administrative Officer respectively, relevant postgraduate experience will also be considered;
- Experience/knowledge in curriculum development, academic administration, or educational program planning within a medical education context is preferred;
- Familiarity with higher education setting in Mainland China is an advantage;
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin); knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of AI tools is an advantage;
- Excellent writing and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to multitask and remain well-organized;
- Good time management skills, with the ability to meet pressing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
- Able to commute to Hengqin frequently to fulfill assigned duties.
