The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) of the University of Macau invites applications for the position of Administrative Officer/Senior Administrative Assistant at a taxable monthly salary ranging from MOP34,780 to MOP52,640 (index 370 – 560).
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate laboratory activities, workshops, seminars, conferences and associated logistics;
- Serve as the primary liaison with external scholars and units, facilitate partnerships and collaborations, coordinate joint initiatives, and ensure effective communication to advance lab objectives and projects;
- Support the execution of professors’ projects by managing internal procedures and facilitating interactions with other university departments. Responsibilities include streamlining communication, ensuring compliance with university policies, and addressing any implementation issues;
- Provide support for routine administrative tasks, including proposal preparation, handling budget, payment, and reimbursement matters, and writing reports, etc.;
- Assist in handling any ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in fields related to communication, finance, accounting, or other relevant disciplines. Master’s degree is a plus;
- Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of full-time administrative work experience. Prior experience in higher education institutions, or large corporations is preferred;
- Possessing advanced expertise in the fields of smart cities and IoT is an advantage. The ability to stay current with up-to-date technical trends and effectively promote emerging technologies, encompassing news, press releases, and reports, for the clear publicity of intricate smart city and IoT advancements;
- Strong sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal abilities;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
