Research Staff
Institute of Microelectronics (IME) and The State Key Laboratory of the Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMSV) were established by the University of Macau to conduct cutting-edge research on state-of-the-art electronics and other related emerging fields with research emphasis in analog and mixed-signal circuits specially focusing in wireless/wireline RF transceivers and data converters for high-speed and low-power applications. IME and AMSV also actively develop research in power management circuits and microfluidic chips, developing solutions for Lab-on-Chip and eventually Lab-on-CMOS applications. With research and talent nurturing as its goals, IME and AMSV will carry out the cutting-edge R&D of microelectronic technology, serve the Greater Bay Area and run courses.
Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
Qualifications
- Visiting Fellow:
Holder of PhD or equivalent degree in Microelectronics or related disciplines;
A track record of recognized publications (e.g., JSSC, ISSCC, IEEE Transactions, SCI Q1/Q2 Journals of related disciplines);
Academics at associate professor level or above (or with equivalent designations) from prestigious universities or research institutions with proven track records and reputation in their fields of expertise.
- Research Assistant Professor:
Holder of PhD or equivalent degree in Microelectronics or related disciplines;
A track record of recognized publications (e.g., JSSC, ISSCC, IEEE Transactions, SCI Q1/Q2 Journals of related disciplines) and relevant teaching experience; Post-doctoral research experience is preferable.
- Postdoctoral Fellow:
Holder of PhD or equivalent degree in Microelectronics or related disciplines;
A track record of recognized publications (e.g., JSSC, ISSCC, IEEE Transactions, SCI Q1/Q2 Journals of related disciplines).
- Research Assistant:
Holder of bachelor’s degree or above;
A solid record of scientific training or laboratory operation experience.
Remuneration
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
