Research Staff

The Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) aims to promote interdisciplinary collaborative research as a strategic direction for research development. By integrating modern technology with a diverse range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, the institute seeks to enhance the university’s innovation capacity and cultivate high-level, well-rounded talents. ICI has decided to create a fertile education and research environment that fosters the development of innovative technologies and serves the needs of society. To cope with the latest developments, ICI is now recruiting research personnel with extensive research experience in at least one of the five research areas of ICI, and the research areas are: 1) Cognitive and Brain Sciences 2) Data Science 3) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics 4) Innovation and Entrepreneurship 5) Translational Medicine and Innovation.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.

Qualifications

• Visiting Fellow:

1. Holder of PhD or terminal degree in relevant disciplines in a world-renowned university;
2. At the rank of associate professor or above;
3. With outstanding research achievement in relevant discipline, including publications, patents, presentations, and academic awards.

• Research Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Fellow:

1. Holder of PhD or terminal degree in relevant disciplines in a world-renowned university;
2. With research competence and has achieved fruitful results in relevant discipline for Research Assistant Professor or with  demonstration of research capacity or potential in relevant discipline for Postdoctoral Fellow.

• Research Assistant:

1. Holder of bachelor’s degree or above in relevant disciplines;
2. With research experience deemed adequate.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty ASAP.

Remuneration
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
