The Honours College
The Honours College aims to bring together high achieving undergraduates from all disciplines and creates opportunities for them to achieve academic excellence, build international perspective, and establish leadership and social responsibility. The College helps to nurture talents to be high-quality leaders of Macao by enriching the current undergraduate programmes and providing the students an academic environment to incubate ideas for research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The Dean of Honours College
The successful candidate is expected to provide visionary leadership for guiding the Honours College to attract top students locally, regionally and internationally. He/she will also work with academic units across the University to develop the honours programme and establish academic partnerships and business linkages with international and local communities to offer study abroad opportunities and service learning programme.
In particular, the candidate should have the following credentials:
- An earned PhD degree;
- Excellent track record in teaching, research and management;
- Demonstrated success in leadership, as well as competence in management and communication;
- Considerable experience in maintaining and developing international academic exchanges, internship, and service learning programmes for students;
- Proficiency in English is required as it is the working language, while knowledge in Chinese/Portuguese will be an advantage.
Position and Remuneration
Remuneration offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate’s academic qualification, current position and professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
