The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor/Senior Instructor in Music and Musical Education.
The Faculty of Education offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. programmes in various areas of education. Details about the Faculty of Education are available at https://www.um.edu.mo/fed/. Candidates must hold a master’s or, preferably, a doctoral degree in music education or related area with solid evidence for teaching in tertiary education. Preference will be given to the candidates with ability in piano and/or vocal performance. For the rank of assistant professor, candidates must hold a doctoral degree in relevant area and priority consideration will be given to those with a record of publications in competitive related refereed journals (e.g., SSCI, C-SSCI, SCI or A&HCI indexed journals) in the relevant disciplines.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2022.
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP592,410 (approximately USD73,140) for the position of Senior Instructor and from MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
