The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) is one of the largest faculties in the University. FBA is a well-established full-service business faculty with AACSB and AMBA accreditations and full membership of EFMD. It is a distinctive flagship business school in the region with key responsibilities in business and management education and nurturing the leadership talents for the development of Macau and beyond as its mission states. FBA provides education in both traditional and emerging subjects of business and management, ranging from Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, Information Systems and Management, Marketing, General Management, to specialised Integrated Resort and Tourism Management. Our programmes are delivered at all levels of higher education including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PhD, MBA, EMBA, DBA and Executive Education. As part of its strategic development, FBA is conducting global recruitment of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in the area of Accounting. The position requires (1) a good first degree and PhD (or close to completion) in Accounting from an internationally respected university, (2) a strong commitment to high-quality research as well as evidence of an ability (or potential) to conduct impactful work and to publish in top-tier journals in Accounting and/or related areas such as Economics, Finance and Management, and (3) an ability to show excellence in teaching. Academics who can undertake high quality research and teaching in accounting and auditing data analytics are particularly encouraged to apply. A professional accountancy qualification and close connection with professional bodies would be desirable.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty by 2023.
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
